Hello! I’m Noor

I'm a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science and the Human-Computer Interaction Institute.

I completed my BSc. in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, where I was advised by Dr. Ehud Sharlin, Dr. Sowmya Somanath and Dr. Patrick Finn.

I'm currently advised by Dr. Erik Harpstead and Dr. Jessica Hammer. My research interests in HCI include educational games, live streaming, and AR/VR.

My current work explores live streaming platforms and how to create participatory audience experiences. I am the recipient of the NSERC Postgraduate Fellowship, as well as being a Generation Google Scholar.
