Hello! I'm Noor :D

I'm currently a PhD Candidate at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute, where I'm advised by Dr. Jessica Hammer and Dr. Erik Harpstead.

My research focuses on building tools to empower digital creators. I'm particularly interested in how we can develop personalized, data-driven creativity tools that support domain experts in their craft. Thus far in my PhD, I've explored this problem across live streaming, game development, augmented reality, and video content creation.

My work has been supported by the NSF and Google. I am also a recipient of the NSERC Postgraduate Fellowship.

Most recently, I interned at RamenVR as a UX Researcher, where I helped the team build Aura,, an AI assistant for Unreal Engine. Currently, I serve as a technical research advisor at the newly founded B5 Studios, where I'm exploring how to develop AI agents for interactive storytelling experiences.

I am now on the job market and seeking an industry or postdoctoral role starting September 2026.
