Hello! I’m Noor

I'm a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science and the Human-Computer Interaction Institute.

I completed my BSc. in Computer Science at the University of Calgary, where I was advised by Dr. Ehud Sharlin, Dr. Sowmya Somanath and Dr. Patrick Finn.

I'm currently advised by Dr. Erik Harpstead and Dr. Jessica Hammer. I am the recipient of the NSERC Postgraduate Fellowship, as well as being a Generation Google Scholar.

My current research interests are in the design and development of novel live streaming interfaces, educational games, and AR/VR experiences. I'm particularly interested in developing tools to support creative practice in areas such as live streamed content, game development, and AR/VR content creation.
